Ron Abuelo is a premium rum from a third generation family-owned company in Pese, Panama.

Don José Valera Blanco built the first sugar mill in Panama in 1908, but it didn’t take long for his sons to convince him to develop it into a distillery. Ron Abuelo grow and cultivate all of their own sugar cane, allowing them to keep tight control over the whole production ensuring the quality is always high.

Ron Abuelo Centuria

Ron Abuelo Centuria is a celebration of a century of rum-making tradition. Made from our oldest reserves, using white oak barrels aged for up to 30 years.

Tasting notes:

A complex and buttery aroma, with plenty of oak, leads you to a  generous abundance of baked fruits on a very rounded palate

Ron Abuelo Añejo

A blend of  rum gently aged in ex American whiskey barrels. Its distinguished flavour is mellow, rich and smooth.

With a light nutty and woody aroma, Ron Abuelo Añejo opens up to a very balanced taste of caramel and vanilla.

Ron Abuelo Añejo 7yr

Carefully selected barrels of aged rum are blended perfectly together to create this magnificent 7 year old product

It has a distinct complex aroma of dried fruit and a rounded, well balanced, rich taste.

Ron Abuelo Añejo 12yr

Using estate-grown sugar cane, Abuelo 12 year is aged to perfection in small oak barrels. The select few barrels used, produce a smoothness and complexity which fulfils the most sophisticated palate.

A sweet aroma with generous hints of wood leads to a full bodied palate of dark fruits and nutmeg spice.
